On the Harberfront

Its hard to believe that I’ve been in San Francisco for 6 months now, it seems like I just moved here. Anyways I’ve been really bad about updating this thing and I’m going to be changing that..I hope :-). Here is a pic from the roof of my new apartment. Living here has been so inspiring and I’ve been working on some really cool projects at my new job at New Deal Design. I don’t have much news in terms of design inspiration except this cool site that I’ve been looking at alot for trends, its updated throughout the day. This Tuesday Apple is having “Let’s Rock” event here in SF where there will certainly be a new round of iPods, but the big question is what else? A little off topic but this guy rocks, he makes some incredible beats and jams on the keyboard like no other.   

Sorry for the lack of updates recently, things have been busy. I am going to be updating more frequently and trying to put something up a least once a week , so stay tuned. I just published the final section of my portfolio last night which is the sketching section. I plan on updating this with new pages more often so keep checking back for updates, for now check it out.

I’m currently working on a brand new portfolio website that will display all of my recent and past design and film/video work. Although there is nothing up the url is www.chadharber.com. I’ve been working on it alot lately and plan to launch it in September if all goes well.In other news I’m making my first trip over to Europe this Thursday to Wales with some friends…I’m super stoaked and will include pictures of the trip on my next entry.Also I’ve been working at a film production company for the last 2 months as my first job out of school. The company is called Brookstreet Pictures (www.brookstreetpictures.com) and I have been working on a movie trailer for their most recent film as well as a poster which should be up on their site. My next task will be to redesign their website. Time for bed

This place is pretty cool they design alot of products that I would like to work on one day, I had no idea a company like this was in Canada, I thought most of them would be in places like California or Boston.http://www.apparatusinc.com
